Demonstrating steel flexibility since 1973

For almost 50 years we've been meeting the requirements of the construction industry for pre-shaping, assembling and installing reinforcing steel.

Ferroberica was established in 1973 and its registered office and main production site are still based at the original location in the industrial area of Vicenza.

From the start Ferroberica positioned itself as a leading company in the shaping of reinforcing steel for major Italian construction companies.

Over the years the company has gradually extended its sphere of operation throughout the country, and in 1991 it became part of the Alfa Acciai Group, an industry leader in the production of construction steel, wire rod for drawing and welded wire mesh. Ferroberica joined the Alfa Acciai Group as part of a project to create an integrated upstream and downstream Italian steel supply chain. This currently includes Alfa Acciai, Acciaierie di Sicilia, Tecnofil - where the parent company recently implemented the downstream integration of wire rod for drawing - and Ferroberica - European leader in the pre-shaping and assembling of reinforcing steel.

After joining the Alfa Acciai Group, Ferroberica started an internal reorganisation and restructuring process, which has led to the company operating with an optimum number of employees and collaborating with various trusted contractors strategically situated throughout Italy.

Thanks to this flexible structure and organisation, Ferroberica can meet varied customer requirements according to production quantities, project types, and implementation timescales and locations, and is also a reliable skilled partner in the work analysis, design and initial site planning phases.

In line with the downstream integration principle that has always guided the Alfa Acciai Group, in 2006 Ferroberica opened a new plant for pre-shaping operations in Catania, where the rebar and coils produced by the subsidiary Acciaierie di Sicilia are used.

More recently, Ferroberica has opened a new production site in Sedegliano (Udine), to increase the company's presence in the market and provide a wide-reaching service in the area and in Montirone (Brescia), which boasts Europe’s most technological and automated cutting and bending plant. In 2020 Ferroberica also opened two branches abroad.
